About
The 3D Ohio blog was generated to facilitate solutions, tutorials, and demonstrations of relevant topics. Focusing on applied mathematics, computer science, and manufacturing .
Mathematics
Mathematics will tend to lean towards the applied. There could be some theory, but generally sticking to calculus, geometry, and some vector analysis .
Computer Science
Computer science will be the most unpredictable. Mostly programming and scripting in various languages, but some configuration issues will be addressed too. The programming will mostly lean towards interfacing with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics AX / Axaptia / Navision, Symix / Syteline, etc. And their respected databases (SQL, Progress).
Manufacturing
Manufacturing will lean towards Cold Forming, Cold Rolling, and CNC machining of products. Mostly in the fastener industry. There will be some metallurgical discussion as well.
The blog contributors are:
Dan Andrews – Web designer / developer, programmer, and mechanical engineer. Specializing in automating mathematical models and engineering processes. Self proclaimed problem solver.![]()
Sean Tilson – Student of Pure Mathematics that prefers stable homotopy and other bits of algebraic topology. He is constantly fascinated by the implications of category theory and topos theory. He also loves algebra, but pretty much only when a topologist does it. Finally, Sean also really likes literature like vonnegut and hesse.
